This Privacy Policy explains how My Swing Academia ("we," "us," "our") collects, uses, and shares information when you use myswingacademia.com, the MSA Hub, the Swing Trainer app, and related services (collectively, the "Services").

1. Information We Collect

Account & Profile Information: name/display name, email address, profile photo, banner image, location, dance level/class, WSDC competitor number and level, and any personal goals you choose to share.

Training & Activity Data: exercises, routines, training sessions, notes, videos you upload, practice statistics, challenge completions, points, and rankings.

Social Features: stories, messages between users, friend connections, and coach-student connections you create.

Payment Information: subscription status and billing interval. Payments are processed by Stripe; we do not store your full card number.

Communications: feedback, bug reports, and support messages you send us.

Discord (optional): if you choose to connect your Discord account, we receive your Discord identifier to link your community membership.

Automatically Collected Information: basic device/app information needed to operate the Services (for example, whether you're using the mobile app or a browser).

2. How We Use Information

Operate and improve the Services
Track training progress, points, and leaderboard rankings
Process subscription payments and manage billing
Enable coach-student communication and assignments
Sync your points and activity between Swing Trainer and the MSA Hub
Respond to feedback and support requests
Communicate service announcements and updates

3. How We Share Information

We do not sell your personal information. We share information only with:

Service providers who help us operate the Services (for example, Stripe for payments, Supabase for database hosting, Base44 for app hosting)
Coaches you connect with, limited to what's needed for coaching (training data, assignments, messages)
Other users, limited to what you choose to make visible (for example, profile, leaderboard rank, stories, messages)
As required by law or to protect the rights and safety of our users

4. Data Retention

We retain your information for as long as your account is active or as needed to provide the Services. You may request deletion of your account and associated data at any time (see Contact Us).

5. Children's Privacy

The Services are not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has provided us information, contact us and we will delete it.

6. Security

We use reasonable measures to protect your information, but no method of transmission or storage is completely secure. We cannot guarantee absolute security.

7. Your Choices & Rights

You can access, update, or delete much of your profile and training data directly within the app. To request a full export or deletion of your data, contact us at myswingacademia@gmail.com.

8. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. We'll update the effective date above and, for material changes, provide additional notice.
